Our Mission:
The St. Joseph Community Health Foundation, sponsored by the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ, exists to steward resources that strengthen, improve, and sustain long-term community health in Allen County, Indiana.

We invest in and collaborate with other community agencies to improve the physical, mental and spiritual health of the poor and underserved.
 

Eligibility

Applicants should be not-for-profit entities classified as 501C(3) by the Internal Revenue Service. Partnerships between not-for-profits are encouraged. The proposed grant must be operated for the benefit of residents of Allen County, Indiana.

The St. Joseph Community Health Foundation values the dignity of each person and follows the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. As such, it will not fund anything destructive of human life.

The Foundation will consider requests for program support, operations, seed monies, program-related equipment, staff continuing education, technical assistance, and matching funds. The Foundation will commit support on an annual basis only. Additional funding will be contingent upon program performance.

Grant applications will not be accepted for building projects, elimination of deficits, support of political activities, individuals, or projects already completed.

Funding notification will be within 60-90 days
* The June and December deadlines are for applications to the Schneider Fellowships, Kasper Awards and mini grants of less than $5,000 only.
